Week 1 and 2
We decided that Lola will get a play room for her birthday this year; not only for her, but for us, too. We have 1350 square feet of unfinished basement to curate, and we wanted to have an out-of-sight-out-of-mind place for the daily messes to be confined to, so we’re starting here in the room below the kitchen.
It’s totally disgusting right now. Plus there’s a pink eyesore happening. This is just not a pleasant photo.
It came to us fully grossed out with the carpet adhesive blobs on the floor from the previous owners, free-hanging droopy PEX tubing, and an open crawl space under the back porch. That “doorway” leads into the void under the stairs.
I drew an imaginary line in my mind and broke out the old plasterboard, opening the space we want to utilize for the Little House. Use your dust masks, people. Asbestos used to be in like everything.
Getting ahead of things, as usual, I’m going to build the face of the house first.
So this is where we are after the first couple weeks. Hopefully things speed up so we cans make our deadline!
SO MUCH MORE TO COME!
Remember to Follow us for updates, and the room reveal!
