Looks for Less: Floor Lamps – West Elm vs. Target

Happy Friday!

We’re back with another edition of Looks for Less.  This post will be the first in a small series on lighting.  Lighting is a seriously underrated accessory for your home.  Just like my obsession with knobs, lamps are another thing I have a hard time passing up.  Lighting is like the jewelry of a room; it should make a statement, maybe add a little sparkle and draw attention to your best features.  It’s easy to get carried away but lighting is best utilized when it’s serving a purpose and is both beautiful and functional.

This time we’re looking at floor lamps from West Elm and Target.  I can literally spend hours perusing the isles of Target looking for a a great deal, and they never let me down!  Not to mention the Nate Berkus line. Gold. Pure gold.  Seriously, what can’t that man do!?!

Anyway…West Elm is another favorite of mine but the price tag usually means I’m window shopping for a look to steal!  Here are a few great finds that you can pick up at your local Target for a fraction of the cost:

West Elm – Overarching Floor Lamp  $299            Target – Arc Floor Lamp $79

West Elm – Tripod Wood Floor Lamp $279       Target – Oak Wood Tripod Floor Lamp $79.99

West Elm – Petite Arc Metal Floor Lamp $229     Target – Modern Globe Floor Lamp $59.99

West Elm – Abacus Floor Lamp $399              Target – Stacked Ball Floor Lamp $99.99

West Elm – Mid-Century Tripod Floor Lamp $207       Target – Tripod Floor Lamp $79.99

West Elm – Adjustable Glass Floor Lamp $259.99   Target – Hudson Industrial Lamp $79.99

What one do you love best (if you can choose just one!?!)  My favorite is the Modern Globe Floor Lamp.  It’s even lovelier in person and has found a new home in my living room!  Where is your favorite place to find great lighting?
